Toro Australia is excited to announce the launch of the all new Toro ProStripe® 560 rear-roller rotary mower. Aimed at sports venues, golf clubs, councils and premium homes, the ProStripe 560 combines the benefits of a precise cut and a clean striped finish with the simplicity of a walk power mower.
“The ProStripe is the ideal solution to mowing lawns and turfed areas where you want a striped finish for a more formal appearance, “ says Brian Goodridge, Toro Equipment Product Marketing Manager.
“These can be professional sports stadiums and training facilities, i.e. for football, rugby and soccer, residential gardens, a TAFE or University campus, office facilities or areas around club houses and hotels.
“As the mower is compact and lightweight it is also ideal for striping smaller areas of turf, and it easily manoeuvres into tight areas.
“The striped finish really adds to the visual appearance and presentation, not only for the fans in the stands but also for the TV audience watching the game at home,“ says Goodridge.
The mower’s roller is a two-piece ribbed roller design that allows for traction on damp and undulating terrain. It has the widest stripe in its category and leaves a crisp stripe without marking or damaging turf.
“Rear roller rotary mowers are also widely used to clean divots and debris off the turf following a game or training session. The collection capabilities of the ProStripe 560 make the post-game cleanup easy,” Goodridge adds. “It’s a low-maintenance solution that’s easy to use, no extra operator training is needed. And as an added benefit, striping can help reduce soil compaction and contribute to the health of the turf.”
The ProStripe mower is equipped with MatchCut™ technology, this allows operators to quickly and easily fine-tune the cutting height to match other machines.
Front fins lift the grass for a clean cut, and optimised airflow ensures efficient collection of clippings while directing dust away from the operator. In addition, the large, 80-litre high-capacity grass bag reduces trips to empty the bag.
To further increase productivity, the 3-speed transmission can be adjusted to suit the weather and turf conditions. Plus, with speeds ranging from 2.9 to 5.0 km/h, the ProStripe 560 is the fastest mower in its class*.
The ProStripe comes with several operator-friendly features including an ergonomic reinforced handlebar, as well as the Blade Brake Clutch (BBC) transmission system. When the handlebar is released, the BBC system stops the blade without stopping the engine, allowing the operator to empty the grass bag or move from site to site without shutting down the machine.
