Toro Australia will be launching the new Workman GTX at the Australian Turfgrass Conference & Exhibition in June 2016.
The Toro Workman® GTX utility vehicle is one of the most versatile grounds and turf crossover vehicles in its class, with improved levels of power, comfort and control.
Elise Willemsen, Toro’s Senior Marketing Manager – Equipment, says the Workman GTX is a compilation of several years of direct input from Toro’s customers and distribution partners around the world. “Customers asked for a lighter, narrower, more powerful and versatile utility that can be easily customised to suit different needs. I am very pleased to say Toro has delivered with the new Workman GTX”.
Customers are able to select from several models to match the right vehicle to their specific needs.
There are options for four- and two-seat configurations, a variety of front- and rear-attachments for garbage bins, hose reels or walk spreaders, and a number of flatbed options to haul even the bulkiest materials. Whether you use the Workman for setting cups, checking irrigation, working around a school campus, pulling a greens mower, or moving people or materials, it will get the job done.
Operation of the Workman GTX is simple, thanks to an automotive-grade rack and pinion steering system that provides more control and easier steering. Class-exclusive coil-over shocks on each tyre deliver greater suspension and help give the Workman GTX a smoother ride that minimises operator fatigue.
The vehicle comes with low maintenance hydraulic disk brakes that require no cable adjustment and less pedal force for a reliable stop every time. It is available in petrol or electric models, and has a frame width of 119 cm (47”) to fit in tight areas with ease. With a no-break polypropylene exterior and powder coated frame, the Workman GTX is extremely durable and will deliver a lifetime of corrosion resistance.
An extension kit allows a standard single-row vehicle to be converted to a true people mover. The kit will be installed by the distributor (in roughly two hours) and gives the flexibility to convert a machine based on customer demand, without stocking a separate complete multi-passenger unit.
“There are multiple configurations to fit almost any application, so many different jobs can be completed with a single vehicle AND it also delivers on performance and operator comfort. This really makes the Workman GTX a simply superior utility”, says Elise.
