Superintendent Idris Evans and his team of 9 at The Western Australian Golf Club are over the moon with their new Toro fleet which they recently received as part of their renewed lease agreement.
The equipment includes 18 new pieces, consisting of 2 Greensmaster eTriflex 3360 and 2 Greensmaster 3150 greens mowers, 2 Reelmaster 7000 fairway mowers, a Reelmaster 3575 mower, a Toro Outcross, a Groundsmaster 3200 mower and a Groundsmaster 4700 mower, 4 Workman MDX vehicles, 2 Sand Pro 5040 groomers and last but not least 2 Multi Pro 5800 sprayers.
The Western Australian Golf Club was established in 1928 and is an 18-hole championship course that has hosted various International and National professional tournaments. The course is located just 8 kilometres from the Perth CBD and is nestled among the rolling hills of Yokine. A beautiful old Tudor Clubhouse overlooks the fairways, greens and a lake, and also boasts views to the city and Darling Ranges.
This is the third lease for the club. Older equipment brings with it a decline in productivity as well as an increase in maintenance costs. Through leasing equipment, the club can keep up with market leading technology now.
Evans commented: “I am grateful our club sees the need for modern equipment. Leasing equipment allows us to purchase machines we normally wouldn’t be able to afford. By leasing we can stay up to date with the latest quality and productivity improvements in equipment.”
“We have a longstanding relationship with Toro. I believe they have superior equipment and they offer me fantastic backup and service.”
“Some of our favourite pieces of equipment sofar are the new hybrid eTriflex Greensmaster and the Outcross. The Outcross is a beast,” he said.
Brad Anderson, Toro Area Sales Manager Golf Equipment (WA) added that it is always a pleasure to work with Evans and the WA Golf Club.
“It is magnificent to be able to provide some of the latest technologies that Toro has to offer. We are proud of our strong longstanding relationship with the club and we look forward to growing our working relationship through outstanding support and backup of their new fleet. We will stride forward together”, he said.
