A new range of powerful ride-on trenchers built to withstand the toughest digging conditions is being launched by Toro Australia.
The RT600 and RT1200 are the latest models in the range of trenching and horizontal directional drilling equipment being offered by Toro Australia.
Toro Australia’s Sales Manager, Directional Drilling/Trenching Equipment, Mr Greg Ivanovic, said the RT600 delivers a smooth consistent performance and is highly manoeuvrable.
“The new RT600 (shown above) is both powerful and versatile,” he said. “The standard four-wheel steering with planetary axles and a tight turning radius makes getting into tight spaces even easier. Using Toro-exclusive trencher drive technology, the RT600 is the only trencher to use a flywheel, torsion shaft, and planetary gear box reduction system.
“The Toro-exclusive system delivers trenching productivity that you’d expect to see from a much larger machine. With ergonomic controls and a pivoting suspension operator’s seat, the RT600 ensures maximum comfort for maximum productivity. These features all combine to deliver unsurpassed digging power and smooth operation even as ground conditions change.”
The RT1200 also utilises the Toro-exclusive planetary gear reduction trencher drive technology.
“With 121 horsepower, the RT1200 delivers maximum power and productivity to make short work of long runs through the most demanding conditions,” Mr Ivanovic said.
“The dual hydrostatic system provides optimal performance for trenching and plowing.
The P105 Vibratory Plow is capable of installing pipe or wire up to 90 centimetres deep through varying soil conditions. The six-way, heavy-duty backfill blade allows for faster, more efficient backfilling. A versatile design complements the finish and ensures the trencher can be converted easily from tracks or tyres.”
Mr Ivanovic said the products were exciting additions to the Toro range in Australia.
“We think they will attract significant interest from contractors, councils and fencing companies because of their power and ability to handle tight locations,” he said.
The RT600 is now available in Australia, while the RT1200 will be available later in the year.
